Tour Feature
Miho Museum was opened in 1997 in a secluded forest in Shiga prefecture. Mihoko Koyama (1910 - 2003), the founder of the museum started collecting arts to fulfill her vision of promoting beauty, peace and joy through arts. Beautiful landscapes and buildings that are artistically designed by an American architect I.M. Pei (1917 - 2019), who also designed a glass pyramid at Louvre Museum in Paris. His concept of the Miho Museum is to create " A Real-World Shangri-La". The museum is famous for its wide range collection of Japanese art, along with ancient art from all over the world which includes Egypt, Greece, Rome, Western Asia, Southern Asia and China.
Shigaraki pottery town is located in the southern part of Shiga prefecture. Shigaraki ware is a type of stoneware pottery made in Shigaraki area. The kiln is one of the Six Ancient Kilns in Japan. Figures representing the Tanuki (Japanese racoon dog) are a popular product included as Shigaraki ware.
Otsu Service Area is a rest area along the expressways. At a service area in Japan, you can buy souvenirs and enjoy local food made with local ingredients.

Child Discount : Children between 6 and 15 years get $ 10 discount. Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but the maximum number of free children may be limited by the number of adult participants.
Tour Deviation: In the event tour participants request deviation from the tour, or end the tour during the tour, or head back to hotel during the tour, the driver may or may not be able to take you to the location where the participant requests. In such cases, no full or partial refund will be made. Tour ending time cannot be extended in any cases.
