Day 1

Arrive at Haneda or Narita Airport

Upon landing at either Narita Airport or Haneda Airport, meet your driver and transfer to your accommodation by private vehicle. The remainder of the day will be free time in Tokyo to spend however you please.

Day 2

Guided Tour in Tokyo

In the morning, meet your private guide at your hotel before setting out on a tour of Tokyo by public transportation. Today will be focused on experiencing many renowned areas in the city, such as the upscale streets of the Ginza District, the nostalgic charms of Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple, as well as many other surprises along the way.

Day 3

Independent Day in Tokyo

Today is an independent day where you can explore Tokyo at your leisure.

Day 4

Travel From Tokyo to Kyoto

Today, you will take the bullet train (shinkansen) from Tokyo to Kyoto. The remainder of the day will be free time in Kyoto to spend however you please.

Day 5

Guided Tour in Kyoto

In the morning, meet your private guide at your hotel before setting out on a tour of Kyoto by private vehicle. Today will be focused on experiencing many famous spots in this ancient city, such as the lush bamboo groves of Arashiyama, the iconic Golden Pavilion, as well as a few other hidden gems along the way.

Day 6

Independent Day in Kyoto

Today is an independent day where you can explore Kyoto at your leisure.

Day 7

Guided Tour in Fukui

In the morning, you will take an express train from Kyoto Station to Tsuruga Station in Fukui where you will meet your private guide on the platform before changing to the bullet train (shinkansen) to Echizen-Takefu Station. After disembarking the train at Echizen-Takefu Station, you will meet your driver and set out on a tour of Fukui by private vehicle. Today will be an overview of some of the fascinating experiences Fukui has to offer, such as the craftsman culture of Takefu Knife Village, the aura of Zen surrounding Eihei-ji Temple, as well as a few other interesting spots as time permits. Your day in Fukui will conclude with a stay at Japanese-style accommodation in the hot springs town of Awara Onsen.

Day 8

Guided Tour in Kanazawa

In the morning, you will transfer to Awara Onsen Station via hotel shuttle to take the bullet train (shinkansen) from Awara Onsen to Kanazawa. After disembarking the train, you will meet your private guide on the platform before setting out on a tour of Kanazawa by taxi or private vehicle. Today will be focused on seeing the many wonders of this former capital of a powerful feudal lord, such as the magnificent Kenroku-en Garden, the geisha district of Higashi Chaya Gai, as well as a few other recommended areas along the way.

Day 9

Guided Tour in Shirakawa-go

In the morning, meet your private guide at your hotel before setting out on a tour of Shirakawa-go by an express bus. Today will be focused on visiting the picturesque village of Ogimachi and exploring the preserved gassho-zukuri farmhouses the town is famous for. After your tour in Shirakawa-go is finished, you will return to Kanazawa by an express bus.

Day 10

Travel From Kanazawa to Tokyo

Day 11

Depart Japan
