* Longshan Temple : Taipei is home to many temples. The oldest and most famous is Longshan ( Dragon Mountain ) Temple which is also one of Taiwan’s finest examples of temple architecture.  
 
* Huaxi Street Night Market : A Chinese traditional post stands at the entrance of Huaxi Street Night Market. Traditional Chinese lamps hang along the street. Historical restaurants line the street, offering delicious dishes.
 
* Din Tai Fung restaurant : Din Tai Fung is a restaurant originating in Taiwan that specializes in xiaolongbao ( steamed dumplings ).
 
* Taipei 101 : Taipei 101 was once the tallest building in the world. This 508-meter structure has 101 floors and is situated at the center of the Hsin Yi District in Taipei City.

* Pingxi Sky Lantern : The most well-known event held in Pingxi is the Sky Lantern Festival. One of several towns alongside highway 106, Shifen Town in the Pingxi District is part of a narrow back road that runs between southern Taipei and southern Keelung.
 
* Shifen Old Street : The Pingxi Branch Rail Line extends 12.9 kilometers through Keelung River Valley from Sandiaoling to Jingtong stations. Houses closely hug the tracks, adding to a nostalgic ambiance that has made the area a popular site for filming ads.
 
* Shifen Waterfall : In the Pingxi District of New Taipei City, on the Pingxi Railway Line between Dahua Station and Shifen Station, torrents of water thunder down ― a white satin curtain. Because its bedrock slopes in the opposite direction of the water flow, Shifen Waterfall is a cascade waterfall, similar to North America's Niagara Falls, "Taiwan's Niagara Falls”.

* Jiufen Village : Closely-packed houses clinging to steep mountainside. The villages of Jiufen were once centers of gold mining in Taiwan.
 
* Nanya Rock Formations : The northernmost tourist destination, Nanya is noted for its fantastic rock formations and sea-eroded coral shore. The patterned stone topography is unique in Taiwan and was formed through the weathering of the sandstone along the shore.
 
* Northeast Coast National Scenic Area : Located in the northeast corner of Taiwan, the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area is noted for its numerous capes and bays, backed by green mountains.
 
* Jinguashi Remains of the 13 Levels : Following Taiwan’s restoration in 1945, Taiwan Gold and Copper Mining Bureau was established in 1946 to oversee the mining industry. Gold deposits ran dry and the once lustrous gold industry took a downturn.
