Enchanting Taiwan 8 Days
Our journey starts from the capital city Taipei, where you can witness the Chiang Kai-shek memorial. After that, you can shop at handicraft center, where the handmade jewels, arts and other items are exceptional. From Taipei we move on to the lofty mountains which fortify the beautiful Sun Moon Lake. Also, we will travel to Kaohsiung city where you will enjoy the Liuhe night market. From there we will visit Kenting national park, having coral-rimmed shoreline which stretches as the main attraction. Finally we will visit Taroko National Park, glimpsing the beautiful narrow raving created by Liwu River, allowing you to walk between high forested cliffs and deep.
ARRIVE IN TAIPEI
Arrive at Taoyuan International Airport and clear your customs, you will be greeted by your driver at the arrival hall. From the airport you will be taken to your hotel for your stay, where you can rest well for your upcoming tour.

TAIPEI CITY TOUR
In the morning, your tour will begin in the city by visiting the impressive “Chiang Kai-shek memorial hall”, which was erected in the memorial of the former president of Taiwan. The 62 acres of land is covered with landscaped gardens, pavilions and ponds that showcase the eccentricity of this place. Later, you will be visiting the National Palace Museum, which houses the world’s largest collection of priceless Chinese art treasures that spans China’s nearly 5,000-year history. Most of the museum’s 620,000 art pieces were part of the Chinese imperial collection, which began over 1,000 years ago in the early Sung dynasty. When you visit the Martyr’s Shrine which is a classic Ming Dynasty architecture, you might have the opportunity to see the colorful ceremony of changing of the guards at the entrance. Shopping in Taiwan is a pleasure that you will cherish. At Handicraft Center you can get the Taiwanese craftsmanship including jewelry, art, furniture and souvenirs. The afternoon is at leisure.

TAIPEI/SUN MOON LAKE
After breakfast, we will travel to the Sun Moon Lake, which is located in the middle of Taiwan and situated 2,500 feet above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. The east side resembles the sun and the west side resembles the moon hence the name. Later, we will stop at the famous Wenwu Temple, Holy Monk Shrine and Ci En Pagoda which are situated in the perimeter of the lake. After this you will be spending the night at Sun Moon Lake. The sceneries at the lake in the evening are mesmerizing.

SUN MOON LAKE / FO GUANG SHAN MONASTERY / KAOHSIUNG
Our journey starts with the beautiful morning at the lake and we will travel by road from Sun Moon Lake to Kaohsiung, the largest city in southern Taiwan. On our way to the city, we will take a stop to visit the biggest monastery in Taiwan, the Fo Guan Shan Monastery. Fo Guang Shan is considered one of the “Four Great Mountains” or four major Buddhist organizations of Taiwanese Buddhism. Finally arriving in Kaohsiung you can stroll along the Love River for your evening bliss. At night you can visit the Liuhe Night Market where seafood, handicrafts, clothing, electronics and various items are sold for your shopping experience.

KAOHSIUNG / KENTING / TAITUNG
With a refreshing breakfast in the morning at the hotel, we will go on to visit the Kenting National Park, located at Taiwan’s southern tip. This national park is well known for its tropical climate and sunshine, Scenic Mountain and beach. Along the three sides of the park lies the 37 miles of coral-rimmed shoreline which stretches as the main attraction. As you soak in the beauty of this place, we will visit the Eluanbi light house, Maobitou coastal scenic area and Longpan Park which are the famous tourist attractions. Spending considerable amount of time we will continue to Taitung via Southern Link Highway for our next destination.

TAITUNG / EAST COAST NATIONAL SCENIC AREA / TAROKO
Post-breakfast, we will tour the picturesque East Coast area. The East Coast National Scenic Area also known as “Taiwan’s last unspoiled land”, stretches 105 miles down the east coast of the island. Weathering, erosion, and accumulation have produced a wide range of landforms such as pebble beach’s, shoreline reefs, inshore islands, and capes along with sea-eroded platforms, trenches, and caves. Prehistoric people have left a rich store of artifacts and ancient sites that can still be seen today. The cultural features of the coastline are enchanting temples, churches, and quaint fishing villages. Our tour will stop at Xiaoyeliu, Sanxiantai, Shitiping (Stone Steps), marble factory and showroom. After a worthwhile break later in afternoon, we will proceed to Hualien city for the overnight stay at Taroko National Park.

TAROKO NATIONAL PARK / TAIPEI
After the breakfast, we will visit the Taroko National Park. Taroko means “Human being” in the truku tribe language. Taroko Gorge is an exceptionally beautiful, narrow raving created by the Liwu River which has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble. A road carved into sheer walls of rock rewinding its way past forested peaks and cliffs towering thousands of feet above it, while hundreds of feet below a river roars past gigantic marble boulders. Passing by Tunnel of Nine Turns, Ci Mu Bridge, we will take short breaks at Swallow Grotto, and Changchun Temple (Eternal Spring Shrine). After we finish sightseeing, we will then drive back to Taipei with a stop at the towering Cingshui Cliff and later be driving through Syue-Shan Long Tunnel (8 miles) to arrive in the early evening at Taipei.
