1. Enjoy a guided tour of Mt. Fuji and Hakone on the first day. Then take the Shinkansen to Atami, an onsen district.

3. A Shinkansen ticket from Odawara to Tokyo is included.

DAY 1

Pick-up Service
This tour can be joined from various meeting points mainly located at major hotels throughout Tokyo.

Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal (120 min)
Depart Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal and head to Mt. Fuji by bus.

(Chuo Expressway or Tomei Expressway)

 

Fuji Visitor Center (20 min)
Learn about the historic eruptions, nature, and culture surrounding

Japan’s most iconic mountain, Mt. Fuji.

There are many videos and panel displays to interact with and enjoy!

Remarks: If Fuji Visitor Center is closed or the tour is behind schedule due to traffic,

Fuji Visitor Center may be omitted from the itinerary.

 

Mt. Fuji 5th Station (30 min)
Start the ascent up Mt. Fuji via the Fuji Subaru Line. Climb 2,300 meters (7,546 ft)

above sea level for breathtaking views from above the clouds.

Remarks: If the Fuji Subaru Line to Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station is closed due to icy roads,

the tour will be taken as high as possible.

 

Lunch
Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch.
Remarks: If you would like a vegetarian menu, please inform us at the time of reservation.

 

Lake Ashi Cruise (15 min)
Go for a sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi, from Kojiri to Hakone-en.

This crater lake along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mt. Hakone was formed

by a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago,

and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji towering 30 km northwest.

Remarks: If the Lake Ashi sightseeing boat or Komagatake Ropeway are not running

due to inclement weather or maintenance, or as a result of road or organization circumstances,

they may be omitted and replaced with one or more of the following:

Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum,

Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Sightseeing boat, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway,

Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, etc., but this will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour,

and refunds will not be given for this reason.

 

Mt. Komagatake Ropeway (50 min)
Spend a total of 50 minutes including a 7-minute cableway ride

up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine)

that nestles at the mountaintop.

 

Depart Hakone
Depart Hakone and proceed to Odawara Station by bus.

 

17:00 – 19:00
Depart Odawara Station (10 min)
The guide will accompany you until Odawara Station.
Please board a non-reserved Kodama Shinkansen on your own and go to Atami Station.

 

Arrive at Atami Station
Proceed from Atami Station to the hotel by yourself.

 

17:30 – 19:30
Hotel New Akao (Japanese-style room)
This hot spring hotel stands near the sea, and all guest rooms have views of the Pacific Ocean.
Dinner will be available at the Main Dining Nishiki Restaurant from 18:30 to 21:00 (planned schedule).

Please go to the restaurant by 20:00. Dinner will be a Japanese-style meal.

Remarks: Please make a request at the time of booking if you would like a vegetarian meal at the hotel.

 

 

DAY 2
Hotel New Akao
The guide will not accompany the tour on Day 2, so enjoy the entire free day!

On Day 1, be sure to receive a Kodama Shinkansen ticket (non-reserved seat)

for return from Atami Station to Tokyo Station.

A Japanese/Western-style breakfast buffet is available from 7:15 to 9:30 (planned schedule),

and will be prepared in the Main Dining Nishiki Restaurant.

Remarks: The guide will not accompany the tour on Day 2, so enjoy the entire free day!

On Day 1, be sure to receive a Kodama Shinkansen ticket (non-reserved seat)

for return from Atami Station to Tokyo Station.

 

Depart Atami Station
Please go from the hotel to Atami Station on your own.
Please board a non-reserved Kodama Shinkansen.

The train will stop at Shin-Yokohama and Shinagawa before arriving at Tokyo Station.

 

Arrive at Tokyo Station
The tour disbands upon arrival. Please head to your next destination on your own from Tokyo Station.
