SHIRETOKO NATIONAL PARK
Shiretoko National Park covers most of the Shiretoko Peninsula which is located at the Northeastern tip of the Island of Hokkaido, Japan. The name " Shiretoko" comes from an Ainu word " Sir Etok" meaning the end of the earth. The park is one of Japan's most beautiful and unspoiled national parks, and home to a variety of wildlife, including brown bears, foxes and deer. Since there are no roads which leads further than 3/4 up the peninsula, the only way to view or reach the northern tip will be by a boat or by multi-days hiking trip. In 2005, Shiretoko was added to the list of the World Heritage Sites for the peninsula's ecosystem and biodiversity.
FURANO
Furano is located at the exact center of Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan. The city is composed of a combination of several quaint farming towns, around a small municipal center, and is known for it's beautiful lavender field, world famous Furano Ski Resort, and domestic vineyards. But Furano is also a very traditional Japanese city, where friendly locals will bend over backwards to guarantee the visitors will enjoy their stay. Another popular activity in Furano is soaking in one of the many outdoor natural hot springs which also comes with a magnificient view of the valley.
LAKE MASHU/TESHIKAGA
Lake Mashu is one of the world's clearest and most transparent lake, located in the eastern part of Akan National Park. Lake Mashu is a caldera lake lying 1033 feet above sea level, born from the fires of massive volcanic eruption some 7000 years ago. The lake has no incoming or outgoing river currents, which make the lake have deeply serene, mirror like surface and is surrounded by 986 feet high cliffs. The lake is also known as a mysterious scenic spot. The mystery is due to the fact that during the summer months the lake can rarely be seen because of the heavy fog. During the summer months, viewing of the lake is allowed only from the observation towers.

Arrive at Narita Airport by the flight of your choice.
After customs and immigration clearance, you will be met by our local English Speaking Guide/Assistant and taken to the hotel by Limousine bus.

05/22/2013 (Wed) Haneda- Asahikawa
Breakfast at hotel.
Departing Haneda airport to Asahikawa airport.
10:00 am Full Day Biei and Furano tour.
*Flower Garden Shikisai-no-Oka
*Goto Sumio Museum of Art
Lunch at Goto Sumio Museum.
3:00pm Arrive at your hotel.
Sukiyaki Dinner at a local restaurant.
Return to hotel by JR train.
